Job Description:
The Skilled Worker shall be responsible for performing specialized construction tasks according to project plans, specifications, and quality standards. They apply their technical skills in specific trades to execute, supervise, and complete assigned work efficiently and safely. Skilled Workers collaborate with site supervisors, Foremen, and Leadmen to ensure timely and quality project delivery.
The Skilled Worker shall:

Perform trade-specific construction tasks such as carpentry, masonry, steelworks, plumbing, electrical, painting, or finishing works.

Read and interpret drawings, plans, and specifications related to their trade.

Ensure that all work complies with quality standards, safety regulations, and project requirements.

Assist in supervising unskilled workers when required.

Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in good condition.

Report progress, issues, and material requirements to the Foreman or Leadman.

Participate in site inspections and ensure completed works meet project standards.

Follow all safety protocols and use proper PPE while on-site.

Coordinate with other trades to ensure smooth workflow and avoid delays.
Job Qualifications:
The Skilled Worker shall possess the following qualifications:

Completion of a Vocational or Technical course related to their trade.

Minimum of 2–5 years of experience in their specialized construction field.

Proven expertise in a specific trade (e.g., carpentry, masonry, electrical, plumbing, steelworks, painting).

Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and technical instructions.

Knowledge of construction materials, tools, and safety standards.

Physically fit and capable of performing manual tasks under site conditions.

Honest, reliable, and able to work as part of a team.

Willing to work on different project sites as assigned.
